(b. 14 December in Boston, Massachusetts; d. 2 July in Los Angeles, California), actress whose ail-American beauty and natural acting style graced such films as Anatomy of a Murder () and Days of Wine and Roses () and the television miniseries Jennie: Lady Randolph Churchill ().
Remick was the younger of two children of Frank Edwin Remick, a Harvard-educated clothier, and Margaret Waldo, a stage actress.
She spent her earliest years in Quincy, Massachusetts, where her father managed his family’s specialty apparel store.
