WELSH television stalwart Arfon Haines Davies, 60, who lives in Cardiff with his wife Angela and their daughter Catrin, 14, has been gracing our screen for decades as one of our favourite presenters.

What’s in your fridge?

Well I am just about to make myself a snack from roll mop herrings – one of my favourite quick snacks.

I also have some yoghurts which are probably out of date, some skimmed milk, some Muller Light rice pots which aren’t as good as the real thing but invoke a hint of the rice puddings which my mother used to make.

Raspberries, goat’s cheese, orange juice, olives, a jar of gentleman’s relish, salad leaves, eggs and a £3 bottle of Chenin Blanc from Aldi.

What food can’t you live without?

Fish – I adore fish and have it about two to three times week.
